Self storage space calculatorHelping you work out your storage space
We fully understand working out how much storage space you require is never easy, we have put together this simple guide to help, but, if we can help in person please feel free to contact us.
Floor space, the square space on the ground is measured in meters and called a meter square (m²). So f you have your items stacked up you can measure the floor space it takes (length x width) to get your m² required.
Volume is called meter cube (m³) and is the 3 dimensional volume, so it is the length x width x height. Our self storage trasteros are 3m in height, so, if you can stack your items safely to 3m in height you can work out how many m² you require by just length x width.
If you have items that stack very well, boxes, square furniture like dressers, bedside cabinets etc you generally require less m², items like dining chairs and sofas do not stack so well and may require more floor space, but you can often turn a sofa up onto it's arm etc. We can assist with any of this.
